The museum is located in Hastings Mill Park, at the corner of Alma and Point Grey Road.

Directions

By bus: 4 UBC, 84 UBC, and 7 Dunbar westbound to West 4th Ave and Alma.

By car: There is limited public parking on Alma Street and neighborhood side streets. Pay parking is available at Jericho Beach, a 7-minute walk west. 


Self-propelled: The museum is easily accessible from the Seaside Greenway bike/walk route. For more information visit Seaside Greenway and York Bikeway | City of Vancouver

Hours

The Old Hastings Mill Store Museum operates on a seasonal schedule.


Regular Season:
Open mid-February through November
Saturdays and Sundays, 1:00–4:00 PM


Winter Closure:
The museum is closed during December and January.


2026 Reopening:
The museum will reopen on February 14, 2026.


Special Events:
The museum may open outside of regular hours for special events. Details will be posted on the upcoming events page and social media.

Health and Safety

Please stay home if you are feeling sick, particularly if you have flu-like symptoms.  Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance.

Tours

Booked tours available for larger (8+) groups, schools and seniors. Please contact us to arrange a visit. 

Admission

Pay what you can by cash or Square for credit and debit card payments, as well as Apple Pay, Android Pay, and Google Pay. 

Accessibility

Wheelchair and scooter accessible on the main floor only.


Service dogs are allowed in the museum.


** No public washrooms available. Please use the facilities at Jericho Beach. **

Shop

Small gift shop with cards, bookmarks, jewellery, books, First Nations-designed accessories and goods, etc.
